Our History

The seed that became LeaderBoard Tournament Systems (LTS) grew out of confusion, the confusion of the two and a half hours it often took to process golf tournament scores that many times were inaccurate. It was a seed planted in 1989, then nurtured and tested for six years before it became the basis of what is now LTS.
Since 1989, two and a half hours has become minutes. That “seed” has produced a scannable scorecard, proprietary scoring and multimedia software used not just to score but also to assist in the administration of tournaments, and to entertain and amaze all concerned -- organizers, participants and sponsors -- at prize presentations or banquets.
Today, this service is at work all over North America, in Australia and in Spain.
LTS founder Don Adamson, a teaching professional for 22 years, simplified the confusion of tournament scoring by creating the scannable scorecard. It was originally combined with existing DOS-based scoring software.
That was before LTS programmers under the direction of founding partner Brian Yager spent two years (1995-97) designing and testing a computerized scoring and administration service specifically for corporate and charity golf tournaments, and their many formats. Software prototypes were displayed at PGA shows to rave reviews. As an antidote to the headaches of tournament golf, LTS was in business.
In 1999, Gerry Lev became company president and took LTS to a new level. With a broad knowledge and expertise in franchising and marketing, guiding a team with more than 150 years of marketing experience, he began to market this one-of-a-kind service through relationships and personalities all over North America.
Through those partners, each with exclusive territories, LTS has scored more than 6 million holes of tournament golf and has helped tournaments raise millions of dollars for charitable causes, making LTS the most successful company of its kind.
LTS LeaderBoard has a unique service, borne from golf but not restricted to golf. It is a company with tentacles that continue to reach into communities around the globe. It is a world leader, with all the impact that comes with being a world leader.
